News of the execution of Mr. Hamid Manafi was published in the Ettela’at newspaper on January 19, 2002.  

Arrest and Detention

The Intelligence Office Agents at a city in northern Iran arrested Mr. Manafi a few months after he committed the crime and escaped. There is no specific information on his arrest and detention.  


A branch of the Public Court of Karaj tried Mr. Manafi. No information is available on his trial.


According to the Ettela’at newspaper, the charge against Mr. Manafi was announced as "murder." According to this report, Mr. Manafi had killed a thirty-two-year-old man by inflicting two bullet wounds, and dropped his body in a garden well in Mehrshahr.
