About this Case

News of the execution of Mr. Siavash, without mentioning his last name, was published in the Iran newspaper on June 17, 2002. According to this report, he had been detained at the police detention center in Shahr-e Ray where he, in collaboration with four other prisoners, escaped after murdering an agent on the morning of July 15, 2000.   

Arrest and detention

According to the report, police agents arrested Mr. Siavash in Varamin nine days after his escape. The circumstances of his arrest and detention are not known.

Branch 12 of the Shahr-e Ray Courthouse tried Mr. Siavash. No information is available on his trial.

The charge brought against Mr. Siavash was announced as “murdering a 47-year-old policeman.”
