About this Case

The information about the execution of Ms. Mariam Qodsima’ab, known as Fariba, was released in a communique issued by Ahvaz Revolutionary Tribunal and published in the Jomhuri Eslami and the Kayhan newspapers on October 8, 1981. This execution was also reported in an addendum to the Mojahed magazine (No 261), published by Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in 1985. The list includes 12028 individuals, affiliated with various opposition groups, who were executed or killed during clashes with the Islamic Republic security forces from June 1981 to the publication date of the magazine.

During her high school years she became a MKO sympathizer. She began her political activities when she was only thirteen years old during the 1979 Revolution. She entered the MKO Operational Teams when she was sixteen years old. She was arrested and released three times.

Arrest and detention

Torture marks were evident all over her body including her forehead, left eye, face, and even the skin under her nails. Her family tried hard to get her body back.
