About this Case

 The execution of Mr. A. Bameri was reported by the Central Unit of the Iranian Students News Association, on December 16, 2015.  Additional information about his case was gathered from Jomhuri e Islami News Service (April 13, 2015 and February 4, 2015) and Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting News website (February 5, 2015)

Arrest and detention

According to available information, Mr. Bameri was arrested by Provincial Police in Kerman, on April 13, 2015. There are no further details of Mr. Bameri’s arrest and detention.

Trial

Mr. Bameri’s trial was convened over several months, between April- December, 2015. No information is available on this trial.

Charges

The charge brought against Mr. Bameri was “murder” of a police officer from Kahnuj, during an armed altercation with the police force. During the police investigation, “six counts of armed altercation with security forces, and transportation of more than three tons of illegal drugs in the town of Dalgan in Sisatan 0 Baluchistan, and the towns of Rudbar, Qal’eh Ganj, and Kahnuj in Kerman Province” were added to his charges.
